A lifetime chocolate addict, I took my first chocolatier course at Chicago’s French Pastry School during a break from my job as a pediatrician. What started as a hobby turned into an obsession, and Veruca Chocolates was born.
Veruca Chocolates are made for chocolate lovers with discriminating tastes, using only the finest ingredients. I use chocolate from both E. Guittard and Callebaut, both for their flavors and their commitment to fair trade practices. I use organic and local ingredients as much as possible.
I believe that opening a box of chocolates should be almost as fun as eating it. Each chocolate is made by hand and incorporates color, shape, patterns and sometimes texture to entice the eye as well as the palate.
Veruca Chocolates are all made by hand in Chicago. I hope you enjoy tasting my chocolates as much as I enjoy making them for you.
